BoboGineers

Game Trailer

BoboGineers is a multiplayer serious game we developed as our final project for the second year of studying Creative Media and Game Technology. The game is aimed at Mechanical Engineering students, specifically those who struggle with understanding thermodynamics, and is designed to help them learn through playing a fun game that facilitates the lesson material.

The game is based on solving a Rankine cycle problem. Players can cooperate with each other to build and solve the Rankine cycle.

During the process, players encounter challenges and obstacles that can hinder their progress. In some situations, teamwork is required to overcome these challenges, which was a key focus in our development. We didn’t just focus on the educational aspect—we also wanted it to be a fun and social game where players can interact and enjoy themselves.

Featuring Mechanics I Worked On

  • Implemented smooth camera transitions using Cinemachine to enhance overall gameplay experience.

  • Created, and implemented all character animations.

  • Programmed a mini puzzle requiring players to sort items in a specific order.

  • Developed a mechanic allowing players to select values from physics tables, enabling interactive gameplay features.
